Saint Sava Pilgrimage Association „Vracam se Jerusalime“ was founded as a voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit community of the faithful, with the desire to bring together Orthodox Christians who carry in their souls love for the Holy Land, the spiritual heritage of our people and the holy places throughout Orthodoxy.
The association was established in accordance with the Law on Associations and Foundations of the Republika Srpska, as a separate organizational unit within the Serbian Falconry Society Dobrun, but it operates fully financially and organizationally independently. It is headquartered in Visegrad, in the Andricgrad complex, while its scope of activities extends to the territory of the Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.
The mission of the Association is to preserve, live and transmit Orthodox spirituality, through the renewal and strengthening of the pilgrimage tradition of our people. The Association strives to be a living bridge between our people and the roots of faith from which we emerged, and to strengthen the spiritual life of the individual and the community through education, fellowship and Christian values.
We strive to build a strong and unique network of pilgrims who, through prayer, travel and fellowship, will renew and strengthen spiritual ties with the Holy Land, Orthodox churches around the world, and revive the tradition of veneration of the Serbian Orthodox Church and its holy sites and pass it on to future generations.
The work of the Association is directed towards noble and clearly defined goals:
Preserving the rich Orthodox tradition, passing it on to future generations, and encouraging spiritual life among members.
Preparing and leading pilgrimages to the Holy Land - Jerusalem and the surrounding area and other Orthodox holy sites in the region and beyond with the aim of allowing believers to directly encounter the holy sites and embark on the path of salvation.
Connecting members into a single spiritual community, fostering brotherly love, solidarity, and religious unity.
Developing close relations with the Serbian Orthodox Church and other canonized Orthodox churches, through blessing, advice and participation in spiritual life.
Cooperation with the parent association "Soko Dobrun" and other related associations, cultural and educational institutions.
Organization of lectures, forums, public events, publishing activities, as well as humanitarian and donation activities arising from Christian charity.
